Our Primee Minister. Mr. Narendra Modi appealed to all citizens of India to take steps, well in their capacity to fight the evil of unclean and unhealthy surroundings that lead to infinite health issues and chronic diseases.
It Inspired all the citizens, no matter what their age. Apart from the youth, the young kids were the ones who were most the most inspired. Due to the joint efforts of parents and schools, the students especially took great initiative and took various steps, though small, to clean their surroundings.
School children organized campaigns in support of Swachh Bharat Mission and cleaned classes, homes and their neighbourhood. The Swachh Bharat Mission also gained worldwide recogniition that brought name and fame to the nation.
I feel at this point of time, the coming of such a mission was significant in the present conditions. It benefitted the nation a lot as it created awareness about the need to clean and improve the conditions so as to leave a beter nation for the future generations. As it is rightly said that, “You do not inherit the earth from your parents, you borrow it from your children”. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that we, the conscious citizens of India pay heed to the cause of cleanliness.
The boom of cleanliness are infinite. But the most important benefit that we derive from cleanliness is that it protects us from various serious ailments as well as chronic diseases that may have a lifelong adverse effects on our life and health. Typhoid, jaundice, cholera are all spread by pathogens and vectors that breed in unhygienic condititions.
The unhygienic conditions may aggravate issues like stagnant Water, unclean areas, dust, pollution and smog beyond acceptable limits. If these deadly diseases attack the children, it damages the future of the country that a developing country like India cannot afford. Thus, it becomes much more important to support the mission of ‘Swachh Bharat: Swasth Bharat’ for the sake of our beloved nation that we, all the citizens of the country truly admire and love.
But as aware citizens of the nation, it is our responsibility that we work towards achieving the goal of “Clean India: Green India: Developed India”! I feel that it should come from within, our conscience must show us the enlightened path and force us to walk on the noble path of cleanliness. The government policies, rules, laws can encourage the citizens but the true will to benefit the nation comes from within. Therefore, we, all the citizens of India, must pledge to “Not to litter, Clean the nation, benefit the nation and develop the nation”
