An integrated (or interdisciplinary) school project is one which uses concepts from multiple subject areas to address a specific topic or problem. Such a project requires the use of knowledge and methods from different disciplines.
More schools are encouraging students to work on interdisciplinary projects to enable them to get a comprehensive understanding about the issue and to find creative solutions for the issues.

The aim is to make students apply knowledge from multiple disciplines and use them in real-world scenarios.
As part of the project, students can also create multimedia presentations incorporating visuals, animations, and simulations to effectively convey the interconnectedness of various subjects in the study of the topic.

Examples of Integrated (Interdisciplinary) School Projects
Design and build a model of a sustainable city that uses subjects such as math, science, engineering, geography, and social studies.
Create a multimedia campaign to raise awareness about a global issue using language arts, media literacy, art, and civics.
Topic: How is water cycle related to Science, Mathematics & Computer?
Class 6 Integrated project: Science, Mathematics & Computer
Each group has to put up a model or an experiment that will integrate ALL science subjects and Mathematics. A PPT of the model has to be presented with minimum 5 slides explaining the concepts of each subject that your experiment or model is depicting.
PPT has to be uploaded with the following details: Name of the experiment, Objective of the experiment, Materials used. Students have you bring their model in the classroom and teachers will ask them questions based on the model / experiment and award appropriate marks.
Possible solution:
Science: Water Cycle includes the processes of evaporation, transpiration, condensation, sublimation, precipitation. There is energy transfer and temperature changes.
Mathematics: Data related to precipitation in a region over a specific period can be collected and analyzed to show patterns and trends. This can help in predicting precipitation or drought.
Computer Science: A computer simulation can be developed to model the water cycle using a suitable programming language.

Title: AI for a Sustainable Future: Unravelling Water Challenges
Class 6 Integrated project: Geography, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer
Objective: To explore the interdisciplinary connections between Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addressing water-related challenges.
Project Overview: This project invites students to explore how AI, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Geography can collaboratively address pressing water challenges. Emphasize the synergy between these disciplines, especially the innovative solutions that AI offers, to create a sustainable and impactful presentation. The project aims to foster an understanding of the role AI plays in finding sustainable solutions for water challenges.
Water Challenge Identification: Choose a specific water-related challenge, such as water scarcity, pollution, or access to clean water. Briefly explain why you find this challenge important.
Mathematics Component: Analyze mathematical aspects related to your chosen water challenge. Utilize data and graphs to illustrate trends or patterns in water usage, availability, or any relevant mathematical representation.
Chemistry Component: Investigate the chemical properties contributing to your chosen water challenge. Discuss how chemistry influences water quality and treatment methods.
Geography Component: Examine the geographical aspects of your chosen water challenge. Consider the impact of geography on water distribution, access, or pollution in different regions.
2nd Language Component: Write your Topic in your 2nd Language. Write 4 to 6 sentences explaining your topic in your second language. Discuss how AI-driven solutions can address translations.
AI Integration: Explore how AI technologies can be applied to address your topic. Discuss AI algorithms that can analyze data, predict trends, or optimize solutions in the context of water-related issues.
Presentation: Create a visually appealing presentation that effectively communicates your team’s findings. Clearly demonstrate the integration of Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, and AI in understanding and addressing your chosen water challenge.
Evaluation Criteria: Depth of research and understanding in each component (Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, AI). Clarity and coherence in presenting interdisciplinary connections. Creativity in showcasing the importance of AI in solving water-related challenges. Justification for choosing a specific water-related challenge based on its relevance.
Submit a written. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation for the class. Viva Voce.
