What is CLAT?
CLAT stands for Common Law Entrance Test, its a centralised test for admission to prominent National Law Universities in India, for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate (LL.B & LL.M) degree programmes.

CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities consisting of the representative universities.
Eligibility for CLAT
Candidates need to be 10+2 or any equivalent examination. Those who are appearing in their qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in CLAT exam
CLAT Exam Pattern
The CLAT exam consists of aptitude and reasoning abilities, and has to be taken online.
The tests include various sections such as Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Legal Aptitude.
The exam lasts for 2 hours and consists of 200 questions. Each question carries one mark each, and there is a negative mark for an incorrect answer (0.25 mark). There’s no penalty however for unattempted questions.

- English language – Class 12th level
- Current affairs including General Knowledge – Class 12th level
- Legal Reasoning – Class 12th level
- Logical Reasoning – Class 12th level
- Quantitative Techniques – Class 10th level
